I recently received a question on what amount of defection is "normal" for the control surfaces, so here is the answer! The range limit is 30 degrees up and down, the best outcome is 25 degrees in both directions. If you do not raise the tail level (18 in off the ground) you must remember to subtract or add the difference to get the actual degrees of travel. The ailerons are a little different, they travel up more than down and that is normal. average is about 17 degrees and 24 degrees.
